Extra Credit Union recently contacted Sumo Sweet to develop their college banking program. The program targets college students and high school students transitioning from high school banking accounts. These students are inundated by offers from large international banks, wooing them with credit cards, lines of credit and access to limitless cash, causing students to encounter financial problems as freshman.

The Extra Credit Union program offers lower rates and includes safety measures that provide access to adult checking products without the penalties adult products come with.

Name and Identity for Futurity College Banking Program

Sumo Sweet Developed the creative platform targeting college-bound students: “A credit union that grows with your growing needs”.

Posters and print collateral were also developed to support the program strategy that the checking program would be the foundation to build the students’ future and their wealth.

The simple and direct visual and themeline was created to immediately communicate “college” without using the words college or bank. The credit unions differentiate themselves form traditional “shareholder owned” banks. The themeline supports the banks challenge in communicating that although your college might be thousands of miles away, students can access all their banking information any time, on any technology platform of their choice.

Armadillo Product Labels

Armadillo Package Design

Sumo Sweet Designed a series of 4 top level product labels for The Armadillo Group. The labels represent their four main lines of products; floor cleaners, floor maintainers, floor strippers and performance products. The labels were designed in a clean, simple and easy to reproduce format that was necessary to create for the variety of product package sizes and solutions available.

The logo design was also developed by Sumo Sweet and integrates with the brand look and feel of the existing website. We also provided the client with a brand book and design guidelines to provide to their vendors.

Habitat for Humanity-Detroit Homepage

Habitat for Humanity-Detroit Homepage

We launched the Habitat for Humanity-Detroit site in November of 2009.

Habitat  for Humanity-Detroit (www. habitatdetroit.org) was developed and launched last year with Sumo Sweet, and is currently the number one ranked affiliate site directly under Habitat International, through natural search.

The site is able to rank this high through natural search because Habitat Detroit (www.habitatdetroit.org) and Metro ReStores (www.metrorestores.org) were built with a suite of search optimization tools and content management tools that allow each affiliate to maintain and change content on their site with no maintenance costs whatsoever. The client is constantly creating new content for the site, as well as modifying the search properties and keywords of unique pages on the site.

“Sumo Sweet Creative has been extremely helpful in the process of creating a whole new website. With content management it is easy to update the site, keeping it fresh to our visitors.”

We launched the Habitat for Humanity Metro ReStore site in June 2009.

The Restore is a revenue generating business that raises money for Habitat for Humanity by selling new and used furniture and home improvement items.  They sell affordable products in hundreds of communities. The ReStore helps Habitat for Humanity in it’s mission to eradicate sub-standard housing. Proceeds from ReStore sales help Habitat build more homes in communities in need.

This site has CMS and SEO built into the site. Clients control the majority of content on the site, as well as what is featured on the homepage of this custom design. The client can add pages or rearrange pages and navigation on the fly.  We are also working to launch the parent site Habitat for Humanity of Detroit.
